THESIS: After the World War II, the United States and the Soviet Russia emerged as the world’s super powers and had several conflicts over political issues. Russia has much influence in the Eastern Europe countries, which slowly disintegrated and the countries became democratic because of Soviet Russia’s new policy under Gorbachev.
